Valve Spring Compressor

Specialty tool for compressing the valve springs in a cylinder head.

Type A: Compressor fork pushes on retainer as the holding pin keeps the valve in position. Meant for use on heads which are removed from the block.

Type B: Compressor installs onto the spring and retainer assembly and is tightened to compress spring. Can be used with heads installed on motor.

This type with the hand lever is much more stable. They do require a great deal of hand strength, especially with new valve springs installed.
